For the true gourmets amongst you, where great food and its preparation is just as important as the wines that go with it, we have put together a really special gourmet break.  Not only will you enjoy many of the great wines of the region, plus some delicious restaurant meals,  you will also learn how to prepare, serve and enjoy a luxury meal yourselves at a hands-on cookery course.

Our Loire Valley Gourmet Tour offers you the chance to experience all of the following:

* 3 nights in a former wine-growers house surrounded by the vines of St Nicolas de Bourgueil to
   indulge in wine tasting and chateaux visits.

*  2 nights in a former 19th century farm complex surrounded by the rolling hills, forests
   and fields of le Grand Pressigny in the Southern Touraine. 

* The preparation and sampling of a range of gourmet delights the region has to offer in a full
   day  hands-on cookery course at le Calabash.

Prices and availability

The tour described above costs just 695 euros per person for five nights and 6 days, whatever time of year you choose to travel.

Accommodation throughout is based on 2 people sharing.   We run these tours for a maximum of 6 people on each tour, ensuring maximum comfort and personal attention. 10% discount is available for 4 or more guests booking the same tour and we offer a reduction for guests using their own transport.

These tours are available all year round, except July and August.  Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to book early if you are interested.

What's included: 

Collection in Tours at the start of your stay.

Loire Valley Breaks 3 night wine tour including initial visit and tasting on your first day, two further full day's wine tour with a bi-lingual guide including tastings, 3 nights overnight accommodation in an en-suite room' all breakfasts, one home-cooked 4 course dinner and transportation to local restaurants for remaining two nights. 

Transportation between the two locations.

Le Grand Pressigny: Arrival night aperitifs and supper, two nights accommodation in a cottage with lounge, kitchen, dining room and shower room. Accommodation in double rooms. Continental breakfast delivered to your cottage each morning.

One full day hands-on cookery course with Sidney & Alison Bond at their cookery school nearby including four course gourmet lunch with wine and coffee.

Return transport to Tours at the end of your stay.

Not included: Entry to chateaux, lunches, dinners and drinks not mentioned in the schedule and out of pocket expenses.
