Using our transport, all tours are escorted with a maximum of 6 people per trip to ensure that you get personal attention

Your guide is knowledgeable, bi-lingual and has lived here for several years.  All the winegrowers we visit are known personally to us (many are our friends), ensuring us of a warm welcome wherever we go.  

Fun

Our tours are designed for people who enjoy food and wine for pleasure and fun and want to learn more. Yes, we can tell you which grapes are used in the wines you taste, and you will visit the vines and winemakers themselves, but the most important things you need to know about a wine (in our opinion) are whether you like it and why that may be!

We don’t have ‘classroom’ sessions to teach you the theory of wine making.  We prefer to take you direct to the experts – the winegrowers – who will entertain you with their enthusiasm and pride in their wines. There’s plenty to learn if you want but we believe your overriding memory will be the warm welcome and great wines you experienced on your visits.

The tour includes activities such as visits to the cave and proper tastings, as well as markets, museum visits and a walking tour, ensuring you get variety and enjoy the best of the flavours of the region. 

You won’t be spending lots of time travelling, as in addition to the wines of St Nicolas produced on the doorstep, we are less than 20 minutes drive away from the other main local wine appellations.

It doesn’t cost us any more to provide your accommodation, meals or tours whenever you visit, so we charge the same price all year round. We offer 4 or 5 day breaks, and can extend these if you wish. You can start a tour on any day to suit you - taking advantage of off-peak travel.  

You will stay right in the vineyards – your accommodation is a former winegrowers property with great views over the valley and the vines. After a busy wine-tasting day, in the evenings you will enjoy great home-cooked French meals and fabulous local gastronomic restaurants.

As well as the winegrowers we visit, our location in the heart of the beautiful Loire Valley , ensures your routes will take you past historic towns and chateaux as well as the majestic Loire itself.

You won’t just be visiting a couple of local growers – every day is planned out – making sure that we do exactly what we promise….and quite often more!
